I'm Coming Back!

Obtaining a visa is definitely a task in and of itself, but so is buying plane tickets.

Initially, I was going to fly straight from home to Greece. Okay, so I would have to stop in Chicago or Toronto, fly into Switzerland, fly into Turkey, then get to Greece late the next day. Okay. So. That's a lot of connecting flights. And that's a lot of chances to get lost. And I did not and do not want to deal with that...but I did not know how else I was really going to get there...

Then my high school friend Sara suggested we try and fly together! We agreed to fly into London then part ways when it comes time for us to start classes, since she is going to France and I'm going to Greece! Such a great plan! Well, then problems arose, and now we aren't flying together, but guess what?

We're still going to hang out in England together for a whole week! And the tickets were still cheaper than the original plan flying into Greece!

So now my plan is fly to Chicago, fly to London, play in London, fly to Greece, start classes. What. a perfect. plan.

I am beyond ecstatic! Yes, I am pumped for Greece, but England in particular just seems like the perfect kick off to studying abroad! I fell in love with London when I was there! The people, the food (except for shepherd's pie), the culture, the sounds, the atmosphere - I love it all! It felt like a second home to me! I can't wait to enjoy everything again! The first time around, I was just taking everything in for what they were! I did not know as much history or culture as much as I do now, so maybe this time around I can actually appreciate what I'm looking at! And also I get to go with a good friend! What could be better?

So, watch out England! I'm coming back for you!
