Obtaining a Visa

So what am I up to now?

Getting a visa.

Upon acceptance into my study abroad, the program e-mailed me to get working on my visa and I see why they are really pushing for me to do it now. Total, the whole process takes between 6 to 10 weeks minimum.

First off, I have to request my FBI criminal records. That's no big. But, here's the not fun part. I need to call the FBI in a few weeks and ask them if they received my request #Cool #ThatsNotScaryAtAll #JustCallingAFederalInstitution #LikeAnAdult

Secondly, I need to get passport pictures. Two copies for the Greek Consulate and one for the program to use as my ID card. Funny story, I look drunk, high, and sleepless in my passport photo because the photo caught me mid-blink. And I thought - hey! I will only see the picture in my passport! Nope. It's going to be on my visa and my ID for the program. AWESOME.

Then I need to go to the doctor, get this document signed, get that paperwork from the school, send it to the program, get more paperwork from the program, hold onto the documents for the consulate, give it to the consulate when I meet him or her, make copies, not lose anything, pay fees, fill out program forms - ehhhhhh I feel like an adult doing adult things.

But I do have a lot of my program forms completed! Then I'll hopefully get my visa then head out in 143 days!
